I agree if you dont go in there regularly or if your not their mate they seem to be very sour faced and blunt!

Its not a bad pub, but its seems not as good as it used to be.

Is this a nice place if you are NOT a regular? Are the staff warm and welcoming? Do they know, manners cost nothing?

Have been using the Oak for many years now, always enjoy a couple of pints (or more ) on a Sunday lunch time,I started at 18 and am now 76 so I have seen many changes, I can say the beer is well kept and the bar staff could not be more friendly,I meet up with my mates and we have a good old chinwag, at times the football is a little loud,but that maybe me getting a miserable old sod, no doubt the best pub in Didcot. Well done Tony.

A busy pub on Friday and Saturday night, but thats to be expected as it's such a great place for the weekend. Food at lunch is great too!

i dont like the oak.. its always too busy and i feel some staff are rude at times. plus its full of teens..

how refreshing to have a pub in did cot who didnt charge on nye it was a fab night thanks to the staff who were quick the lady on the door was even happy and it was cold and the dj is ace.

Havent been in didcot too long so trying out the local "hotspots" really enjoyed saturday afternoon football,obviously a firm favorite with local teams didnt stay for the band but will be sure to go again.

this pub does great food and at good prices the sandwich meal deal is great value for money

just sampled the new menu at the Oak ,really good quality ,and they have a burger menu with 18 different burgers on

the friday nite discos are really great,bit of everything for everyone,and the dj can play pretty much anything you ask for,its just a really nice place clean,friendly,and not full of other pub drinkers x x

went to OAK for rugby final and live music on saturday
what a great night ,very busy but still got served in good time considering

watched the rugby here on saturday night will defo be coming for the final it was packed and a really good atmosphere and live music after the final gonna be a messy but great night.

Went to The Oak Sunday to watch the football
what a cracking atmosphere and tvs everywhere even in the toilet so you dont miss any of the action
