A very warm welcome to the website for The Red Lion. Located in the charming village of Blewbury, the Red Lion is the quintessential village pub.

With a roaring log fire in a striking feature Inglenook fire place, soft lighting, exposed oak beams, lots of trinkets and cottage style decor the lounge has an atmosphere to match the welcome.

An excellent choice of beers, wines and spirits and a wide & varied menu. This delightful country inn is a place whose warm and welcoming atmosphere means that time spent here, lunchtimes or evenings are a pleasure with great food, wine & company

Ventured in here on a weekday evening recently and was pleasantly surprised. Lovely location (hidden down the end of a lane), wooden scrubbed floors, comfortable layout and low key decor (not a horse brass in sight), friendly staff who were very attentive, really great food (traditional English - more home cooked than gastro eg liver with loads of yummy mashed potato and gravy, good steaks with 'proper' chips and salad) all cooked to order, decent beer. The bar was perfect to eat in (small and fairly cosy) and several locals were in.

I had lunch with three more people on August 24th and it was excellent. The service was attentive and the food very good indeed, can't fault it really. Would definitely go back again.

Had an excellent fresh seafood platter with a Devon Crab & our friends had Chicken Forestiere and a Sole stuffed with spinach and haddock both superb, the staff were very friendly and helpful, will be recommending this pub to all our friends and will be making a return visit very soon!

Great atmosphere and decor, good locals drinking pub, and good for a lunchtime bite, good baguettes etc.
However evening food very uninspiring, a lot of stuff seems to be fried, or a fishcake.
Would like to make it a regular for food, as i live in the village but the menu has not changed in over a year, can i face another portion of italian chicken? and the specials board seems to be pretty much the same. A tip for the owners what blewbury is lacking is a decent sunday roast. You have the atmospheric pub so make the most of it. This pub used to be booked solid on a sunday lunchtime.
