You need a councillor to live in your street -- that's how Icknield Close (over on Brasenose estate) got completely rebuilt a few years ago (actually, probably mid 90s); compare to some of the other roads around there that have had dodgy sewers that have been known about since the early 80s that are a hotch-potch of potholes and patching
