Just had the following exchange with some twit selling replacement doors and windows:
Twit: Hello, I just happened to be passing (!), and saw that you have an old wooden front door that needs replacing...
Me: Right, you noticed the door, did you see the sticker on it as well?
Twit: Yes, saw that, but it's OK, I'm not selling anything!
Me: I see, just making polite conversation about the quality of my door then?
Twit: Well, I mean... I can offer you a free quote for replacement doors and windows...
Me: Go away.
Twit: Righto then... <walks next door to treat everyone else in the road to same lobotomised patter>
I mean... at least have the guts to say "I saw your sticker but I am choosing to ignore it because I like a challenge", just don't give me that ridiculous "I'm not selling anything" line!
